Abstract

Le procédé pour la fabrication d'un objet en nitrure de silicium par pressage isostatique d'un corps préformé de poudre de nitrure de silicium au moyen d'un agent de pression gazeux dans un récipient de pression à la température nécessaire pour le frittage du nitrure de silicium est du type dans lequel le corps préformé est contenu dans une gaine de verre. A la fin du pressage, la pression et la température dans le récipient de pression sont réglées de telle manière que la pression dans le récipient de pression s'abaisse au-dessous de la pression partielle de l'azote pour le nitrure de silicium à une température à laquelle le verre est déformable plastiquement. La gaine de verre est ainsi gonflée tout autour du corps et celui-ci est débarrassé de sa gaine de verre ou peut facilement en être débarrassé.
