Abstract

The solar heater can be fitted to a radiator standard type with a bottom header (2) of sufficient vol. Connections as for a central heating boiler are used. A stop valve (13) is positioned in both the inlet and outlet pipes. If the solar energy system does not supply heat, an electric heating element (15, 16, 17) is incorporated for emergency use. This fits into the bottom connector (7), its element projecting into the bottom head (5) and is used after closing both stop valves, to isolate the radiator.
