Abstract

Foodstuff containers are normally immersed in a bath liquid for cleaning and sterilising and are then dried by the blowing in of sterile compressed air. The machine may be used as an attachment to existing immersion devices and makes it possible to carry out immersion and drying in the same device. To this end, the machine includes a supporting arm (22) on which there are arranged two guide levers (23, 24) which can be pivoted parallel to one another. The feedpipe (27) for the sterile compressed air is fastened to one end of both of these guide levers. To permit the guiding of the feedpipe into and out of the containers, the other end of at least one of the guide levers is movably connected to a connecting rod (18), which connecting rod is in its turn pushed in a reciprocating manner by a drive device.
