Abstract
Ce mécanisme comprend un boîtier 51, 52 formant en même temps une poulie à gorge et entraîné en rotation quand le moteur tourné. Ce boîtier renferme un embrayage composé de disques 72 et 76 actionnés par un piston hydraulique 91 qui coulisse dans un cylindre 79 solidaire du boîtier 51, 52. Cet embrayage sert à rendre l'ensemble 51, 52, 79, 91, 76 solidaire du moyeu 36 du ventilateur. Le mécanisme est raccordé au circuit de lubrification du moteur par deux tubes ou tuyaux 121 et 122. Le tuyau 121 alimente un canal d'alimentation 112 qui lubrifie et refroidit continuellement l'embrayage. Une électrovanne 127 commandée par un capteur de température-du moteur peut envoyer le lubrifiant également à la chambre de pression 108 comprise entre 79 et 91, pour serrer l'embrayage. Après la fermeture de l'électrovanne 127, une soupape de décharge 131 répond à la baisse de pression dans la chambre 108 (due aux fuites normales) en laissant le liquide sortir de la chambre pour desserrer l'embrayage.This mechanism comprises a housing 51, 52 forming at the same time a grooved pulley and driven in rotation when the engine is running. This housing contains a clutch composed of disks 72 and 76 actuated by a hydraulic piston 91 which slides in a cylinder 79 integral with the housing 51, 52. This clutch serves to make the assembly 51, 52, 79, 91, 76 integral with the hub 36 of the fan. The mechanism is connected to the engine lubrication circuit by two tubes or pipes 121 and 122. The pipe 121 feeds a supply channel 112 which continuously lubricates and cools the clutch. A solenoid valve 127 controlled by an engine temperature sensor can send the lubricant also to the pressure chamber 108 between 79 and 91, to tighten the clutch. After the solenoid valve 127 is closed, a relief valve 131 responds to the pressure drop in chamber 108 (due to normal leaks) by allowing fluid to exit the chamber to release the clutch.
