Abstract

Cette construction permet, à poids égal, une meilleure résistance aux pressions extérieures qu'elle peut subir aux grandes profondeurs. Elle comprend essentiellement (voir la portion de demi-coupe longitudinale représentée) des tores 1, remplis ou non de ballast, disposés coaxialement et soudés entre eux par l'intermédiaire des anneaux de liaison 3 et des supports de liaison longitudinale 4 constitués par des rails à boudin disposés radialement à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur des tores 1, dont ils épousent la forme. Cette construction peu former l'ossature d'un sous-marin ou d'un réservoir de décharge à déposer au fond de la mer.
