Abstract

The solar energy collector is for fitting to e.g. guard rails on south or partly south facing balconies. The heater is intended to maintain an aesthetic appearance and consists basically of two reflecting surfaces whose junction angle(a) is defined by the height of the sun during summer and winter. The rear reflector of panel(1) is an aluminium alloy covered on its upper surface by a good thermal insulating layer(2) such as an expanded foam. The fluid transporting the heat is carried in a conduit (3) immediately in front of the insulation. This is in turn protected by a transparent layer(4) forming the foremost surface, which is supported by forward bent side walls (1a, 1b) extending from the rear panel. The fluid system plate is supported by an insulating layer.
