Abstract

The mixing tap for hot and cold water has a cylindrical body(1a) with three equally spaced longitudinally ribs(1b, 1c, 1d). Each rib has a central hole(5, 6, 11) for hot and cold water inlets and for the mixed water outlet respectively. Each of these holes is connected by a radial hole to a central bore(1e) with each hole in a different plane. A central plunger fits in the central bore and can be moved in an axial direction. According to its position, the inlets from both hot and cold supplies can be closed or a mixture supplied at the required temperature.
