Abstract

In the upper protective cover of table type circular saws there is an adjustable support for the cover(1) which shields both the blade(2) and the work sheet. The cover can be moved vertically to accommodate various size of work sheet and types of operation. The movement of the head is controlled by an oscillating type lever assembly. The cover allows a view of the working part of the saw where it is actually cutting the work. This is through toughened protective glass or transparent plastics. The lever is bifurcated to improve the view obtainable.
