Abstract

In order to restrict in a simple and reliable way the escape of solvent to the physically unavoidable extent when extracting gases from a container containing a porous mass with absorbed solvent, a choke device (1) is added to the receptacle, the two-piece housing (2, 2a) of which choke device (1) is subdivided by a diaphragm (5) into two chambers (6, 7), in which arrangement one chamber (6), having an inlet and outlet (3, 4), has a choke member (10) with an outer and inner tube (11, 13) having slots (12, 14), and the other chamber (7) has a connection (8) to the atmosphere, and the inner tube (13) is connected to the diaphragm (5). At a higher container pressure, the diaphragm (5) displaces the inner tube (13) and chokes the passage from the inlet (3) to the outlet (4) as a function of pressure.
