Abstract

Procédé permettant d'obtenir une voile de propulsion ayant les caractéristiques d'une aile d'avion (profil épais) tout en conservant les fonctions habituelles d'une voile classique, retournement de la concavité selon le bord d'incidence du vent par rapport à l'axe du véhicule à propulser, réduction et ferlage, et directement adaptable sur un gréement traditionnel sans modification nécessaire de ce dernier. Cette voile est caractérisée par : Une voile centrale 1 classique ayant le système de liaison habituel sur le gréement. Des demi-nervures 2 en mousse synthétique à cellules fermées collées sur la voile centrale 1, et articulées grâce à un évidement en angle au niveau de l'articulation principale de la concavité. Des enveloppes 3 en toile plus légère, collées sur les demi-nervures et formant les surfaces d'intrados et d'extrados de la voile Ce type de voile, d'un rendement aérodynamique supérieur à celui d'une voile classique, sera utilisé sur tous les engins de propulsion à voile sans nécessiter aucune transformation de ces derniers.
