Abstract

Les machines à écrire et analogues possédant un porte-caractères 12 déplaçable le long d'une ligne d'écriture posent le problème, lors d'une correction par ruban correcteur, que la frappe correctrice ne coïncide pas exactement avec le signe erroné, lequel n'est donc pas effacé complètement. Cela est dû essentiellement à la différence d'effet des jeux suivant la direction de déplacement. Selon l'invention, pour supprimer ce problème, le chariot 5 supportant le porte-caractères sphérique 12 est ramené en arrière, lors d'une correction, déclenchée par la touche de correction 2, d'un pas au moins au-delà du signe à corriger et avancé ensuite jusqu'à la position de ce signe dans le sens d'écriture normal.
