Abstract
Lyman alpha spectral lamp comprises an ampoule filled with H2 at a pressure of 0.01-100 (0.05-5) torrs, and provided with means for dissociating the mole. atmos, and exciting the atmos to an energy level from which they fall back emitting Lyman alpha radiation. The lamp is not a discharge lamp as in prior art, hence the radiation emitted is limited to the desired value. The emission is much more stable than in prior art, its operation can be continuous, and is stronger.
