Abstract

Le procédé d'oxydation catalytique de SO2 en SO3 , au cours de la fabrication de l'acide sulfurique par conversion double avec absorption entre étages est caractérisé en ce que les gaz sortant de l'absorption entre étages et dirigés vers le 2**e étage d'oxydation sont réchauffés d'abord par les gaz après le dernier plateau du 1**er étage d'oxydation, puis par les gaz après l'avant-dernier plateau du 1**er étage d'oxydation, et en ce que les gaz dirigés vers l'absorption entre étages sont refroidis d'abord au moyen des gaz dirigés vers le 2**e étage de conversion, puis par l'air dirigé vers la combustion du soufre. Les gaz après le 1**er plateau du 1**er étage d'oxydation sont refroidis par de la vapeur d'eau saturée, et les gaz après le 2**e étage d'oxydation sont refroidis dans un réchauffeur d'eau.
