Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation des alkylène-glycols par hydrolyse d'oxydes d'alkylène. Conformément à l'invention, on opère en présence de CO2 et d'un catalyseur spécifique ne contenant pas d'halogène ; la réaction est effectuée sous une pression relative de gaz carbonique inférieure à environ 2,45 MPa et à une température comprise entre environ 85 degrés C et 400 degrés C, de préférence en présence d'un solvant organique. Le procédé de la presente invention permet d'obtenir des rendements élevés pour le produit recherché et d'utiliser des appareillages classiques.The present invention relates to a process for preparing alkylene glycols by hydrolysis of alkylene oxides. In accordance with the invention, the operation is carried out in the presence of CO 2 and of a specific catalyst not containing halogen; the reaction is carried out under a relative carbon dioxide pressure of less than about 2.45 MPa and at a temperature of between about 85 degrees C and 400 degrees C, preferably in the presence of an organic solvent. The process of the present invention makes it possible to obtain high yields for the desired product and to use conventional equipment.
