Abstract

The temp. setting control for a thermostat includes a button (15) which is arranged to slide along a window slot cut around a curved surface (8). A flat metal strip (6) connects the button to the shaft (4) of the control, passing through a slot which splits the shaft at one end. A hook at the other end of the strip (9) engages a hole (11) in the pushbutton. The pushbutton is held against the curved slide surface (8) by a spring clip (16) acting on the inside of the surface. The clip is part circular, with ends which are turned back in the opposite direction to provide smooth feet to slide over the inside surface.
