Abstract

L'invention concerne la mesure des gradients de gravité. Un dispositif de mesure de gradient de gravité comprend essentiellement un laser en anneau qui est constitué par un tube laser 2 et une cavité définie par quatre miroirs 4, 6, 8 et 10; et des éléments modulateurs 12 et 22 qui sont placés sur le chemin du faisceau laser 3. Les éléments 12 et 22 produisent une modulation différentielle des modes de polarisation du laser en anneau qui est fonction de la différence de gravité entre leux emplacements respectifs. Un détecteur de battements 40 fournit un signal de sortie représentatif de cette différence. Application à la diagraphie dans les sondages.
