Abstract

L'appareil comporte un élément électrolytique 2, destiné à être disposé dans l'atmosphère, qui comprend un électrolyte 6 ayant une mobilité d'oxygène ionique élevée (par exemple de la zircone ou de l'oxyde de cérium) et une électrode 8 en un métal qui présente cette propriété que l'énergie libre de formation d'un oxyde de ce métal devient nulle à une température Tc comprise à l'intérieur de l'intervalle de fonctionnement de l'élément. Un pont de Wheatstone 16 détecte le changement du taux de variation de la résistance de l'élément en fonction du temps qui se produit à cette température et un thermocouple 18 indique cette température et, ainsi, la pression partielle d'oxygène. Application aux détecteurs de niveau d'oxygène des émissions des moteurs à combustion interne.
