Abstract

Procédé et appareil de creusement d'une tranchée au fond d'une masse d'eau. L'appareil comprend un bâti mobile sur lequel est monté au moins un ensemble excavateur supporté par un dispositif monté sur le bâti et déplaçable par ce dispositif au moins dans un plan latéral. Un système permet d'évacuer les déblais. Chaque ensemble comprend au moins deux outils de creusement effectuant un mouvement de creusement par rapport à leur axe, ces axes définissant un plan de creusement que des mécanismes peuvent faire tourner par rapport au plan latéral pour faire varier la largeur de la fouille ainsi creusée. Application au creusement d'une tranchée sous un élément allongé (pipeline ou câble sous-marin) posé au fond d'une masse d'eau et qui est à enfouir.
