Abstract

A mould corresponding to the shape of the drinking vessel is filled with water. The water is deep frozen and the vessel shape is moulded from ice and it is removed or kept at low temperature until required. The vessel edge is melted and rounded after removing from the mould, for example by immersion into liquid above the freezing point. The vessel is coated on its outside surface with a thin moisture sealing coating by immersion or spraying with plastics.
