Abstract

The equipment forms and fills wrappings, the latter comprising a hose of flexible sheet divided off by transverse closing devices spaced apart and then parted off. The hose material (1) is indexed off a roll (2) and passed along a guide (4) inside the hose past an external filling station (6) loading the contents into the hose. At this station the guide has an access (5) to its subsequent tubular end (4b), so that the flat hose is spread over the latter. With each indexing movement of the hose a partial cut (15) is made in it at the filling station, and the contents are loaded into it through the tubular end. Two of the transverse closing devices (19a, 19b) are applied to the hose which has left the tubular end, on opposite sides of the partial cut, which is then made complete, so as to part off the filled and sealed length of hose.
