Abstract

The plastic bag is closed on three sides and has a closing strip across the fourth side. The strip is made of flexible plastics and has two grooved strips (6, 8) which are fitted to the inside of the envelope in such a way as to hook together when the strips are pressed together. The strips are kept apart by a flap (9) which is an extension of one side of the container. The envelope is normally stored with the flap (9) tucked into the envelope by folding along the seam (10). When the envelope is filled, the flap is pulled out and the bag may be sealed.
