Abstract
Foamed plastic sheeting with >=1 cover layer is produced continuously, the foam is prepared and injected between conveyor belts and is monitored without physical contact, and the machine is regulated in speed and foaming rate accordingly. The monitoring system has a number of individual measuring points across the whole width fed in, and they measure the foam thickness. The machine automatically monitors right across the direction of production and maintains uniform foam distribution over the section of the sheeting.
