Abstract

Washable wallpapers are made by continuously laminating a transparent or translucent plastic film to the surface of a strip of paper. Pref. the film is anchored by applying a coating of solvent-based adhesive to the face of the film and eliminating the solvent in an over immediately adjacent to the film path approaching the film/paper lamination rolls. The film may have a gloss or matt surface finish.
