Abstract

A laminated overlay for sporting equipment, particularly skis, is built up three layers with a carrier fibre web with decoration and patterns, protected by a tough transparent plastic film pref. of an acrylate resin, the underside covered by a peel-off layer for application. The laminate provides a decorated surface, protection, and can bend with the mechanical movements of the equipment. The fibre layer may be impregnated with phenolic resin.
