Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil manuel de lecture optique pour l'identification des caractères. Cet appareil comporte un système d'exploration 2 et des unités de préparation 3, 3'; 4, 4' pour la segmentation et le centrale de la forme explorée et une unité d'identification 5, 5' pour l'exploitation d'une forme explorée ainsi préparée, l'unité d'exploration explorant le support de données 1 et des circuits des unités 3, 3' et 4, 4' réalisant une élimination de parasites, une présegmentation de la forme explorée, son épuration et son centrage. Application notamment aux appareils périphériques de lecture d'étiquettes ou de numéros de comptes de chèques.
