Abstract

Cet obturateur étanche au gaz est destiné à obturer un orifice de remplissage d'une chambre dans laquelle il se dégage de la chaleur. L'orifice à obturer est formé l'extrémité d'un tronçon de tube 4 à paroi relativement mince L'organe obturateur est un élément annulaire tronconique 7 qui s'emboîte dans l'orifice du tube 4 avec une force suffisante pour dilater légèrement cet orifice. Cet élément est relié à un tronc de cône 6 solidaire d'une tige creuse 5. Un axe 19 passant dans cette tige porte un racleur 20 servant à nettoyer la région d'entrée de la chambre à charger et commandé en rotation par un bras 21. L'ouverture de l'obturateur s'effectue par gravité éventuellement assistée par l'action d'un levier 16 et la fermeture peut être commandée manuellement au moyen d'un levier et d'un dispositif à disques de coincement 9 et 10.
