Abstract

The assmetric bars have two parallel hand holds articulated with the posts (2, 3) of different heights. The distance between each pair of neighbouring posts is adjusted by a threaded sleeve in a tube, articulated to one post, and by a threaded rod screwed in the sleeve. The other extremity of the rod is mounted in a case (6) articulated to the other post (3) and is rotated by a handle (2) which also moves the case up or down the pole. This ensures that the tension of the supporting cables (9) remains constant whatever the separation of the hand holds.
