Abstract

The change-speed gearbox has one or more epicyclic gear trains, and a hub running in bearings in a mounting and coupled to a drum-type driven member, absorbing the load from the driven unit. The hub(14) is inside the drum(17), to which it is rigidly coupled by end discs(16, 18) and intermediate members(20). The latter are situated between the planetary pinions(7) of the epicyclic gear train, the pinion spindles(12) being rigidly fixed to one of the discs.
