Abstract

The trailer for transporting large dia. bales of straw or fodder has a pivoted front bale loading fork (8). The fork is moved between a lower position for receiving bales and an upper bale loading position by a jack (11). A bale, when placed on the fork, moves a spring biassed lever (9) which operates a valve (10) to cause the jack to raise the fork. The valve is held in that position by a locking lever assembly (19, 21). When the fork reaches the upper position, a lever (22) unlocks the valve for jack return.
