Abstract

The connector consists of two parts, a plug and a socket. The socket (FF) has five peripheral contact (D1-D5) and a central contact socket (D6). It also has a cavity (L) which extends transversely across the socket to encompass the central contact socket and one of the peripheral contact sockets. The central contact socket has a groove (E1) in it. In the cavity (L1) is placed a U-shaped flexible contact. One of the branches of the U-shaped contact penetrates into the groove (E1). The other branch is anchored in another slot (E2) in the other side of the centrl socket. When the plug part of the connector is not inserted into the socket the U-shaped contact connects the central socket with an outer socket. Insertion of the plug breaks the connection between contact sockets.
