Abstract

A pulse radar device with Doppler evaluation uses the pulse compression principle for evaluation purposes and inhibits receiver operation during transmission. Long pulses are transmitted and the radar 'blind zone' is reduced. Incompletely received pulses are detected and processed separately from completely received pulses. The emitted pulses are modulated with an N-element binary code. Gate circuits are provided for neighbouring distance ranges. Each circuit is associated with a code element. Further circuits for further ranges are each associated with a full pulse. Doppler filters, rectifiers, logic circuits, and correlators are used.
