Abstract

The anti-pollution device for motor vehicles cleans the exhaust gases by passing them through a chamber packed with glass wool. The chamber is fitted with a safety valve to prevent excessive pressure rise in the event of ice forming during cold weather. A cable is fitted between the spring of the safety valve and the accelerator pedal so that the effective spring force is increased as the pedal is depressed.
