Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation de fibres de polymère d'acrylonitrile qui consiste à préparer une solution de filage d'un polymère d'acrylonitrile contenant au moins 70 % en poids environ d'acrylonitrile, le restant étant constitué d'un ou plusieurs monomères copolymérisables, dans une solution aqueuse d'un thiocyanate, à extruder cette solution de filage à travers une filière à trous ronds dans un coagulant aqueux de façon à former des filaments, à étirer ces filaments hors du coagulant de façon à effectuer un premier stade d'étirage, à laver les filaments étirés pour éliminer le coagulant, à étirer les filaments lavés dans de l'eau à une temperature d'environ 70 à 100 degrés C de façon à effectuer un second stade d'étirage, le rapport d'étirage total obtenu dans ces premier et second stades etant d'environ 3 à 14, et à faire passer les filaments résultants d à travers une zone d'étirage contenant de la vapeur maintenue sous une pression suffisante pour fournir une température d'environ 110 à 140 degrés C, en étirant les filaments au sein de la vapeur à un taux suffisant pour porter le rapport d'étirage total à une valeur d'au moins 20.The subject of the invention is a process for preparing acrylonitrile polymer fibers which consists in preparing a spinning solution of an acrylonitrile polymer containing at least approximately 70% by weight of acrylonitrile, the remainder consisting of one or more copolymerizable monomers, in an aqueous solution of a thiocyanate, in extruding this spinning solution through a round-hole die in an aqueous coagulant so as to form filaments, in drawing these filaments out of the coagulant so as to effect a first stage of drawing, washing the stretched filaments to remove the coagulant, stretching the washed filaments in water at a temperature of about 70 to 100 degrees C so as to perform a second stage of drawing, the the total draw ratio obtained in these first and second stages being about 3 to 14, and passing the resulting filaments d through a drawing zone containing steam maintained under sufficient pressure to provide a temperature of about 110 to 140 degrees C, stretching the filaments within the steam at a rate sufficient to bring the total draw ratio to a value of at least 20.
