Abstract

The unit which permits continuous sampling of granular material uses a tubular body (2) positioned across the duct (3) used for conveying the material. An axial flight screw (10) fitted inside the tubular body, is parallel to it but its shaft (8) tapers towards the outlet (2b). The screw is rotated by an electric motor (14) and the sample material is discharged down a chute (4), large and small grains entering at a suitable place between taper body and flight. The tubular body has an elongated inlet (6, 19a), adjusted by rotation from another electric motor (15).
