Abstract

The system secures hollow profiled plastic sections to each other or to a metal one by self-tapping screws. Partitions (4, 5, 6) are formed inside each plastics section (1), so as to give a sufficiently solid anchorage for the self-tapping screw (7) without the need for any filling or reinforcing material. There can be a partition (4) parallel to the face by which the plastics section is fixed to the other one (1a), and joined at the centre to this face by two small partitions (5, 6) space apart for a distance equal to the dia. of the screw at the thread grooves.
