Abstract

Procédé pour la désulfuration sélective des naphtas craqués en présence d'hydrogène et d'un catalyseur. Le catalyseur consiste en un métal du groupe VIB et un métal du groupe VIII de la Classification Périodique des Eléments, l'état d'éléments, d'oxydes et/ou de sulfures, en proportions d'environ 4 à 6 % en poids pour le premier et d'environ 0,5 à 2 % en poids pour le second, exprimées en oxydes et par rapport au poids total du catalyseur, sur un support qui consiste pour au moins 70 % en poids en magnésie. Le catalyseur utilisé conformément à l'invention présente une grande sélectivité dans la désulfuration et permet de limiter l'hydrogénation des oléfines, et par conséquent de conserver un bon indice d'octane.
