Abstract

The compact rabetting machine for wood, has a fixed frame forming the base, and an adjustable frame (1, 2) carrying the motor (3) and work support (18). The latter carries two support strips (19) at right angles to each other and projects from each side of the cutting position and can support long workpieces. The lower part (2) of the adjustable frame, carrying the motor, is attached by a hinge (5) to the base, so that the motor can be raised or lowered for the required depth of cut. The cutting tool (9) is secured on the motor spindle by a bolt (8) through the centre. The motor is tilted by a vernier control (10) at the front, acting through an eccentric (13) against a screw (14) between the two frame parts. The work support has a circular shell so that it can be swung against its seating to vary the angle of cut.
