Abstract

Procédé d'essai d'un moteur comportant les étapes d'application d'une charge d'inertie pure sur un moteur, d'accélération du moteur et de mesure du temps nécessaire au moteur pour accélérer d'une première vitesse à une seconde vitesse. Pour l'essai d'un moteur à combustion interne, on peut prévoir un premier transducteur fournissant un signal de sortie correspondant à un point pré-determiné de chaque cycle d'allumage d'un cylindre du moteur et un second transducteur produisant un signal d'identitification après chaque cycle d'allumage complet du moteur pour permettre l'identification des cylindres individuels. Une minuterie chronomètre la période entre chaque allumage consécutif du moteur, comme cela est déterminé par le premier transducteur. Une mémoire à accès aléatoire stocke numériquement les temps mesurés par la minuterie et les signaux d'identification partant du transducteur dans les cellules de mémoire correspondant à chaque allumage du moteur. Les données stockées dans la mémoire à accès aléatoire peuvent alors être fournies à un processeur pour le traitement de l'information sur le rendement du moteur.
