Abstract

The manually operated circuit breaker has a cartridge fuse and indicating lamp enclosed in the switch housing. The switch overall geometry is rectangular and has a rocker arm (25) set in its top surface. The rocker is pivoted (15) towards one end to allow access to the cartridge fuse held between two spring 'U' shaped contacts (11) set in the base. A low power discharge lamp (20) with series resistor (21) is connected between the wo electrodes. The indication to the outside is made by a light guide terminating in the rocker arm surface or by a shaped optic (21) in the rocker.
