Abstract

The cartridge fuse assembly, for domestic electrical appliances, has a gas-discharge signal lamp in parallel with the cylindrical fuse and indicating when the latter has blown or been omitted. The small cylindrical lamp is pressed against two contact buttons by a leaf spring at the front of the drawer (or similar) in which it is located and is visible through a window in that drawer. The contact buttons are connected directly to the fuse end caps. The drawer slides into the main housing containing the current-carrying spring contacts that engage the fuse end caps.
