Abstract

The cellular casing is used to form door and window openings in building construction, being complete with hinges (18) and fittings for shutters (17), opening window lights (12) or doors. Rebates for shutters and windows respectively are provided at the opposite end of horizontally elongated rectangular section inc built on architraves (2, 3) and channels (26, 27) for engagement by masonry anchorages. Laminar horizontal walls (1, 4) are provided at the base and rebate level, vertical webs (5, 6) at intervals effecting a division into a series of rectangular longitudinal compartments. The webs extend vertically (14, 15) to join the upper laminar wall (13) which inclines to the horizontal to shed rainwater.
