542,914. Building elements made of synthetic resins. AEROLECTRIC MOULDINGS, Ltd., GONDA, D., and POGANY, D. Aug. 22, 1940, No. 13357. [Class 2 (iii)] [Also in Groups X and XI] Doors, door-frames, window-frames, skirtings and other building elements are constructed from lengths of moulded or extruded synthetic resin, each length being essentially of T or crosssection wherein the depending portion of the T constitutes a flange, intermediate of the longitudinal edges, for fixing lengths to each other or to a support. As shown in Fig. 2, a door frame is built up of a lintel and jambs of U cross-section recessed at one edge to form a seating for the door, with outside flanges 9 engaged by the wall 4 and with the transverse flange 15 bolted or riveted to tie-bars 16 embedded in the wall. Angle brackets are secured to the mitred abutting ends of the flanges 15 on the lintel and jambs. The door consists of a four-piece frame with internally projecting flanges secured to each other. The upper transverse frame member is slotted to permit the insertion of panels 30. Window-frames are constructed with external fixing flanges similar to those of the door-frames, with the addition of glazing internal flanges. Fig. 8 shows a wall-skirting with transverse flange 76 for securing lengths and angle-pieces together and a footing 70 screwed to the floor. The cavity 80 may accommodate house-wiring, or the skirting itself may include heating elements 81. The application to manholes, manhole-covers and gutters is also mentioned.
