Abstract

L'invention concerne une pièce d'insertion toroïdale pour un pneumatique gonflé et sans chambre à air. Selon l'invention, elle comprend un noyau 34 en forme de tore, une corde de pneumatique enroulée autour du noyau, et des organes de support de la charge 38, 40 contenant une corde de pneumatique, et circonférentiellement enroulés sensiblement autour du milieu du tiers de la surface radialement externe de la corde radialement enroulée, ainsi la pièce d'insertion 26 a une section transversale ayant une partie centrale épaisse et ovale 28 entre les talons 12, 14 et deux parties extrêmes minces 30, 32 s'étendant chacune le long d'un flanc adjacent 18, 20 jusqu'à son milieu; ainsi, quand le pneumatique est dégonflé, la partie centrale supporte la bande de roulement et chaque partie extrême supporte le flan adjacent. L'invention s'applique notamment à l'industrie automobile.
