Abstract

La présente invention concerne un connecteur hermaphrodite à utiliser dans un arrangement destiné à aligner les fibres optiques d'un câble optique. Le connecteur 10 est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un organe de raccordement 12 comportant un passage intérieur 14 agencé pour loger une fibre optique 16. Des moyens d'adaptation 18 comportent une face hermaphrodite 20, destinée à s'adapter à une face hermaphrodite identique d'un connecteur similaire. Le connecteur 10 comporte des moyens 24 associés à des alésages 32 destinés à loger les fibres optiques 16, et agencés pour fixer lesdites fibres dans des positions présélectionnées. Le connecteur selon l'invention est conçu d'une manière modulaire pour permettre un échange de différentes parties constitutives, en fonction des applications et des câbles optiques utilisés.
