Abstract

The combined heat- and power-generating plant has a gas turbine, has mechanical power being taken from an output shaft of the turbine, and heat being derived from the turbine exhaust gases. A first element (6) of a heat exchanger (5) is fitted in the exhaust path of the turbine (1) and a second element (4) is fitted in the air path between the compressor (2) and the combustion chamber (3). There is a control arrangement (A, B, C) to regulate the heat transfer between the exhaust gases and the combustion feed air in order to control the relative proportions of heat output and mechanical power output.
