Abstract

A braking system is for a tub carried on castors. A horizontal bar is fitted between the castors and this can be locked to block the castors. There is a control mechanism for this bar, consisting of a pedal at the lower part of the tub (1). The locking system includes a key and there is a pivoted latch pressing on the bar or pedal and controlled by a vertical bolt arrangement. This can be moved by a button. The key fits into this button. The bolt is carried in a narrow piece on the tub panel.
