Abstract

The door panel receives different decorative facia panels (2), comprising a rectangular frame panel of which the head rail (5) is demountable. A permanent backboard (14) connects the three fixed frame members (3a, 3b, 4), and each member has a longitudinal groove on the frontal backboard interface. When the head rail is not in place, facia panels are removed or inserted by sliding, the panel edges engaging the grooves. The head rail is fixed by screws (15) to built in ferrules at mitred (8) corner joints, having a groove housing onto the top edges (14a) of the combined panel, and with local tongues (12) providing positive location.
