Description

"A MODULAR SYSTEM FOR DOORS THAT MAY BE FORMED IN VARIOUS MANNERS"
The present invention concerns a modular system for the realization of doors that may be formed according to the wishes of the users, with the possibility of inserting decorative elements of stone, ceramics, wood or glass, and of choosing any opening or coupling system between the panels, furthermore showing novelty features in the realization of interior doors as well as in technologies in the field of computer science, mechanics and design.
The system according to the present invention derives from the need of realizing storages of nearly finished elements that allow to vary the model of the door according to the specific requests, based on a series of elements coated with different wood essences or with other materials .
This allows to reduce to a minimum the storage costs having, furthermore, greater possibilities in the offer. In consideration of the great number of door models that can be obtained due to said assemblying system, and as it is impossible to supply an exhaustive illustration, on a catalogue of the known kind, of all said possibilities, a complete demonstration of the possible variants that may be formed according to the present invention may take place with the help of an interactive Software that allows the customer to compose, according to his own taste, the elements of the door thus obtaing the model which is closest to his ideas.
The aims set forth are reached by means of the mechanical system according to the present invention, which eliminates the need of performing on the elements the conventional workings - like joints and holes -, and which simplify the assemblying of the door before finising, and comprising:
- the transverse jambs,
- a specific mechanic bushing;
- the module with the realization of the frames;
- panels of various kinds;
- decorations to apply according to the choices of the customer. The advantages of the system according to the present invention are many and considerable:
- the excellent quality of the product, because the working of the half -products , until the varnishing, is developped onto separate elements and therefore they undergo a constant control in all phases of the production cycle, whereby said control is impossible in the conventional and known systems;
- the possibility for the customer to form a door according to his taste;
- the alternative of inserting, in the whole of the door , decorative elements of s ton e , ceramics , wood or glass , and to choose any opening or coupling system between the panels ;
- the cheapness , as the production system for , the elements , with the help of high technology , allows to increase the productivity by optimizing the costs ;
- the cheapness of the storage management, due to the reduction of the stored goods to a quantity equal to the ofered product.
The system according to the present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which some embodiments thereof are shown. Figures 1 and 2 show a view from the two sides of a door realized by means of the system according to the present invention.
Figures 3, 4 and 5 respectively show sections B/l, B/2 and A of the preceding figures.
Figure 6 shows an axonometric, transparency view of the mechanical system for assemblying the modules .
Figure 7 shows a lateral scheme of the mechanic bushing.
Figures 8, 9 and 10 show the frames/module frames.
The enclosed figures show a modular system for doors that might be formed in various manners , in which the perimeter of the door consists of jambs 3 and widths 6, 7 having dimensions suitable for any specific location, realized out of massive wood treated with different technologies for obtaining products like: joint, listel and lamellar, which is then coated with shorn of precious essences, or enamelled with different colours. The same may be obtained using in the structure other materials, like wood fibres MDF, PVC, aluminium or polyurethane.
Said elements will be composed between each other by means of a rectangular joint 1 realized along one side of the frame component and inside the same; furthermore, the widths 6, 7 are worked on their heads , so as to form a correspondence 2 to said joint 1, and thus makes the composition of the frame easier, giving it, at the same time, a greater consistency.
In the upper and internal lateras part, the widths have two corresponding holes 4, 5, while the similar holes 4', 5' are performed on the outer part and on the heads of the widths 6, 7 ,for allowing the application of the mechanical devices for the assembling of the whole door.
The mechanical system for the assembling of the door - that has a relevant mechanical resistance, a wide tolerance in the assembling phase, precision in the system for coupling the single elements, the possibility of disassembly of all elements, easy use and possible restoration of the mechanical blocking of the elements - comprises two nylon elements 8 of cylindric shape, that are placed at the end of a bushing in the longitudinal part whereof pins 9 are housed with a conical point, whereby said pins cross a passing-through hole 10 that houses a steel pin 11 having cylindric shape and conical holes provided in its two extreme parts and which, during assembling, will be the housing of said pins 9 with conical point.
Said system allows to adjust the tightening and offers a great tolerance; furthermore, it assures a solid mechanical resistance in the coupling between jambs and widths.
The alignment between the width 6, 7 and the jamb 3 is obtained making use of a nylon pin 12 that gets inserted with great precision into hole 4 provided in the internal side of the jamb and then into hole 4' performed in the head of the width, providing a reliable reply in the mounting as well as in the following resistance and alignement phase; furthermore, said pin 12 has a stop 13 on its circumference, that helps adjusting the penetration depth of said pin into the jamb as well as into the width. In its longitudinal part, said pin has a passing- through hole that allows the passing of said steel pin 11 which, as already said, reaches the two lateral cylinders 8 and thus allows the blocking of the elements .
The frames according to the present invention are realized with a structure of massive wood treated with different technologies - joint or listel -, then coated with a shorn of precious essences, or enamelled with different colours: said frames may have different shapes 1/A-l/D ,and in some cases 1/B and 1/C, they may be completed with inserts 14 of different materials like wood, stone, metal, leather, glass and fabric so as to obtain the effect demanded by the customer.
Furthermore, the function of the frame is to replace the conventional working of the ashlar on the panel, disengaging the production from the model of the door, and therefore realize the support structure of the panels, housed in the external part, in the joint of the jambs and widths, realizing in the internal parte a joint that carries panels or glasses, placed here in the assembling phase; this is made possible due to the fact that the frames are coupled between them, as shown in figure 8, by means of a core 15 that may be of wood, plastic or metal. Due to this system, also frames of a different model may be coupled, thus offering a considerable aesthetic alternative. It is provided that the frames are produced in rods, with dimensions optimized to the production needs : from these rods , by means of a 45° cut, segments are obtained for composing frames of predetermined dimensions, and thud the design of the door; the coupling in the corners of the frames is made possible due to two systems: for industrial productions, by means of riveting with iron cramps 16, already known for frames; and for the "do-it-yourself", by means of metal or plastic squares 17, fixed with screws 18.
The panels of the doors are realized with different materials: wood multi-layer coated with precious essences or enamelled with different colours, panels in an aluminium alveolus supported by fibreglass with a surfacing of stone or precious marble, polyurethane or glass, according to the demands. The panels 19 are realized in such a manner as to be coupled in the assembling phase; and this for giving the possibility of diversifying the application of said panels, for each front of the door. Furthermore, the coupling of the two panels increases the sond-proofing of the door as, if requested, it is possible to insert between the two panels thin sheets of sound absorbent material, or other materials like fire-retardant etc.
For increasing the value of the door and for better conform it to specific shapes and styles, the present invention provides the presence of decorative tiles which are to be applied to the base door and allow to realize many and very special models, in the shape as well as in the aesthetic aspect; infact, due to the application of the square frames of the tiles, many different figures may be obtained that can not be realized by means of the conventional systems. The tiles having geometric shape, are realized with different precious materiale, with flower and geometric decorations, out of wood, ceramics, stone and with a supporting frame that may be also of glass. The whole is technically related to the general system that allows, besides the great versatility, simplicity in the assembling phase.
For showing best all the possible aesthetic combinations offered by the system according to the present invention, and for automatically estimating the costs of the single product composed by the customer, the present invention provides the realization of a catalogue that makes use of computer instruments, and the working whereof may be described as follows:
- at the start, the programme offers a overall view of the door models that may be realized; between these, the operator chooses the one nearest to his requests;
- once the door model is chosen, the colour of the elements composing the same is chosen: intrados, jambs, frames and panels; for each chosen item the possibility is given to choose the colour of the wood, of the enamelled or of the material that is to be applied. To each chosen elements corresponds a figure according to the colour and of the material chosen which gradually is composed with the figures of the other elements chosen and shown on the screen, realizing the graphic whole of the door;
- once the figure of the door has been obtained, the customer may insert the decorative elements - according to the model chosen - choosing first the kind of material and then the design; and, at last, the customer chooses the kind of handle that will be applied to the whole figure of the door.
