Abstract

La présente invention concerne un frein de ski. Selon l'invention, le frein de ski 1 est disposé sur un ski 2 et pivote d'une position de repos dans une position de freinage en dessous du ski. Le frein de ski est formé d'un étrier 6 en fil d'acier à ressort rabattu ou replié plusieurs fois. Il comprend une zone d'écartement il élastiquement souple dans le sens longitudinal du frein de ski 1. A ses extrémités, l'étrier de freinage, qui coopère avec une pédale sollicitée par la chaussure de ski, comprend des ailettes de freinage 17. Le fil d'acier à ressort 6 comprend une partie en forme de lyre 11 qui se rattache aux deux portions 12 de ce dernier s'étendant parallèlement à l'axe longitudinal médian du ski. L'invention permet d'arrêter automatiquement un ski perdu par un skieur.
