Abstract

The bracket is intended for securing a bicycle chain guard having a rim (15) which covers at least part of the upper portion of the chain (3) and of the circumference of the pedal chain wheel (2). The bracket has a flat plate-like portion with a bore (6) fitted over the pedal crank bearing bush (8) of the bicycle. The bracket has at least one bent extremity (14) which engages the inside of the rim at or near an axis of symmetry of the bore, and which can be secured to prevent movement. The bore may be open to one side to permit securing of the bracket without removing the pedal cranks.
